"THE STROKES OF LOVE"

The river of love has its calm waters of peace,
Places of reflection; quiet waters still beneath.
Each bend hides the beauty from mine eyes
But faithful in each stroke, experiences give me hope.
Enjoying where I have been and places I have yet to go,
Knowing that I am in God’s hands and in his care.
I safely paddle through life’s’ troubled waters
When my eyes are upon him and my heart points true.
I feel the strength of his hands shaping my life.
The peace in my experience deepens
And my love stronger grows.
In the end it not me that paddles,
But my Lord God that rows.
